Our Run for Women event started with a bang on Sunday, March 5th! Locals in NY, PA, LA, and TX showed up in support of International Women’s Day, helping to raise funds for Girls on the Run. It was our fifth year partnering with this incredible organization, and we couldn’t be prouder to continue supporting their valuable work empowering young women.
As always, our Bluestone community came through, and we had an incredible turnout in every state—including over 100 people in NY! This year was also the first time we’d held runs in PA and TX, so it was extra amazing to see so many locals eager to participate there. All up, we raised *drum roll* over $4000 for Girls on the Run!
This year, we were also lucky enough to partner with TWO female-founded, Aussie brands—P.E Nation and Vida Glow. They provided some sweet post-run swag to our locals and helped give the event a little extra sparkle.
The day kicked off bright and early at Bluestone Lane cafes across the country (earlier for some—locals in LA hit the track at 7.30 am!)
Starting off with some stretches, locals got into gear, and prepared to run, walk or jog a 2-3 mile route. There were plenty of smiles on display, and there was a great atmosphere that felt electric to be a part of. As a company built on human connection and community, it was incredibly fulfilling to see everyone turn up so excited and eager to be involved.
After completing the route, locals were treated to Bluestone Lane coffee and bites. Banana bread and mini avo smash were on the menu, providing much-needed post-run fuel.
