We’re proud to announce that design100 has selected Bluestone Lane’s DUMBO Coffee Shop as a Gold Winner in its 2016 New York Design Awards for interior design in retail-shopping & food. In addition, Bluestone Lane’s Upper East Side Café was a recipient of a Silver Design Award in the same interior design category.
In creating our spaces, we’ve found a balance between comfort, and functionality.
The New York Design Award presented by design100 celebrates innovative and creative building interiors, with consideration given to space creation and planning, furnishings, finishes and aesthetic presentation.
Gold award winner, Bluestone Lane DUMBO, features a significant change in interior aesthetic for the group, designed to complement Brooklyn’s diverse surroundings and to ensure that the space had a more sophisticated feeling to support their innovative coffee-cocktail program and late-night offering.
Bluestone Lane Upper East Side is located in the heart of the Museum Mile, housed adjacent to the beautiful historic Church of the Heavenly Rest. The store’s design was focused on uncovering and exposing the natural sandstone facade of the church, while interlaying Bluestone Lane’s brand palette of sea foam green, turquoise and brass colored finishes to capture the eye and give it a youthful presence.
Our stores are a prime example of activating non-traditional retail locations in the most inspiring way, through creativity, innovation and passion. Congratulations must go to the Bluestone Lane team, Julia Sullivan from Caswell Design Group, and Santo Tuzzolino from Integrated Development Design + Construction NYC for a tremendous effort.
