Our Beet Latte Recipe: Make the Pink Drink on our Wellness Menu!

The bright pink Beet Latte is the latest drink to shake up the coffee scene.

Australia, being our core influence, always plays a part in our research and development. Although we cannot take credit for inventing this beautiful drink, we have definitely embraced the idea behind it and curated a delicious recipe to suit the palate of our US locals. The inspiration behind this new trending drink was to discover a wellness latte that gives you an energy boost, sans caffeine. A few tweaks later, Bluestone Lane created our take on the Beet Latte, complete with cocoa dusting — the perfect compliment with beets! The overall taste is subtle, like a warm liquidly marshmallow.

The Beet Latte is also incredibly good for you! Betacyanin, the pigment that gives beetroot its bright-magenta color, is a powerful antioxidant and the vegetable’s high-nitrate content can also help reduce blood pressure, promote a healthy digestive system and even prevent dementia. This colorful latte has been popping up on everyone’s radar — most recently, Mind Body Green talks with our very own Alex Kate Knight about this delicious, superfood latte.

The beet latte has been a dreamy pink success for Bluestone Lane, with the high anti-inflammatory and antioxidant qualities of the root vegetable beetroot. It’s a caffeine-free nourishing alternative to the traditional flat white.

Now that you know the scoop behind the immune-boosting pink latte everyone’s obsessing over, we want to give you our recipe:

The vibrant latte is made using dehydrated beetroot powder, lengthened with water. This is treated like a shot of espresso and then mixed with steamed almond milk. To top it off, we marry the beet flavor with a little dusting of cocoa powder.

Bluestone Lane’s Beet Latte Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of dehydrated beet powder
  • 1 cup fresh almond milk
  • A touch of cocoa powder for dusting

Directions:

Place the dry ingredients into a glass. Steam the almond milk. Pour 2 oz. of milk into the glass and whisk. Top with the rest of the milk. Garnish with a dusting of cocoa powder. And enjoy!
